John Rosen
BLUEGRASS & CLAWHAMMER TEACHERĀ
John has been teaching both bluegrass and clawhammer banjo for over 35 years to students ranging in age from 5 to 80 years old. He has performed with The Wrecking Crew, Dropkick Murpheys, Ashley Campbell, Ed Helms and Scarlett Rivera, in addition to touring the world with the punk-bluegrass band Old Man Markley.
John has crafted all courses here at Banjo Mountain based on his 30 years of teaching.Ā
John currently plays banjo in multiple bands, teaches banjo weekly, and is a judge at the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Festival.

Judd built and runs Banjo Mountain. If thereās something wrong, heās to blame. š
He has been playing banjo for 11 years and loves playing banjo in nature, including taking it into the wild on backpacking, camping and overlanding trips. Judd teaches beginner bluegrass and clawhammer banjo.
