Bluesey Backup Licks & Fills
Part One
This is a great lesson on using the bluesey backup lick while playing backup but also as fills in between when a vocalist is going from a verse to a chorus or any moment in a song where there's "breathing room."
Learn Banjo Now!Bluesey Backup Licks & Fills
Part Two
Continuing on from Part One we now implement "The Choke" to really up the bluesy component and bend the string a whole note. It's a great sound and a great fill!
Classic Scruggs Backup Lick
The Classic Scruggs Backup Lick is a key lick and can easily be moved up and down the neck. It works really well as a fill and is played out of the F-Shape. Â
Single String Backup & Fill Lick
Building on what you've already learned in the initial Single String intermediate lesson, we bring you a great lick that is relatively easy, which implements single string playing in a great, movable lick.Â
Classic Scruggs Boogie Woogie Backup Lick
Building on what you've already learned we move into more complexity. This lick moves heavily on the fretboard and comes off as very flashy. Just as before it can be used in just about any song. Check it out here as another free gift to you!
